Cheese Producers

The Cheese Producers Pavilion will showcase over 15 different cheese producers from around the U.K. Visitors will be able to browse, taste and buy from a diverse range of high quality British cheeses.

The producers will invite you to sample distinct tastes or discuss the differences between the regions’ cheeses and their different ages. Once you have made your decision about which varieties to buy and take home, congratulate yourself for purchasing directly from the producer and helping make their businesses profitable and way of life sustainable.

Worthy farm is situated in rich pasture land and has been involved in the traditional art of cheese making for generations.

This blend of skill, experience and geographical location has culminated in a mature cheddar of great distinction and unique creamy flavour.

This cheese is wax wrapped giving it a long shelf life.

White Lake Cheese

Peter now produces a range of goats milk soft cheeses from his own 600-strong herd of goat. And from the original soft White Lake, he has added White Lake puddle which is a washed version of its name sake. Also White Nancy, Sacre Bleu, Rachel and Rachel rustic.
He and co-worker Tim now make cheese from cows milk which also comes from the farm. Curently the range includes Morn Dew, Bagborough Brie (coming soon) and Blue Moon.
Cheese is made, using 800 litres of milk, five days a week. Goats milk is used on four days and cows milk on one.

Gorwydd Caerphilly is made by the Trethowans at Gorwydd, the family farm, just outside the village of Llanddewi Brefi, in Ceredigion, West Wales. Gorwydd Caerphilly was established in 1996 by Todd Trethowan. Todd learnt the art of cheesemaking over a ten year period with several leading British cheesemakers. The cheesemaking is now conducted by husband and wife team Maugan and Kim Trethowan. Maugan is Todd's brother and business partner and Kim, who originates from New Zealand, is also responsible for maturing the cheese. Despite their success, the team continue to produce their hand made cheese using the minimum of mechanisation, a lot of hard work and careful attention to detail.

Bath Soft Cheese produces another Gold Medal winner at the British Cheese Awards. White mould ripened, square in shape and at least a pound in weight. This Cheese dates back to the time of Admiral Lord Nelson who, in 1801, was sent some by his father as a gift. It was recorded, that Nelson's sweet heart, was 'gratified' by the flavour of this cheese! Packed in parchment paper with a red wax seal, these cheeses are normally sold as a whole. Organic & suitable for vegetarians.
