
In association with the Bristol Wine & Food Fair 2009 and to complement the Celebrity Chefs Theatre, the Cookery School at Bordeaux Quay ran an exciting programme of hands-on subsidised cookery workshops for children aged 6-16. Dishes cooked were good enough to rival anything the celebrity chefs produced in the Fair next door.
Think simple summery salads with the best of the season's ingredients plus scones, cup cakes, summer fruit smoothies, hand-made pizza, loaves of bread and bruschetta.

Children cooked 2 recipes within the space of a one hour workshop and took home what they'd cooked along with a copy of the recipes. Children could be dropped at a Cookery School workshop whilst the adults visited the Fair.
The Cookery School was located behind the Chefs Theatre, on the first floor at Bordeaux Quay restaurant which is situated on the Harbourside, next door to Lloyds Amphitheatre.
Spaces were restricted to 12 per workshop and were booked in advance.
